We're not like other venues. We only hold a handful of events per year and every couple that marries here is deeply special to us. We do weddings and events over three days, giving you enough time to truly soak up the moment. There's no revolving door here.
LDH sits upon a hill overlooking Windsor Castle, nestled in a beautiful and lesser-known corner of Berkshire's countryside beside Windsor Great Park and Sir Elton John's Woodside estate.
Couples can escape the outside world with exclusive access to 12 acres of gorgeous English gardens and three beautiful on-site properties.

We work hard to maintain beautiful English gardens which provide the most stunning backdrop to your wedding or party. There are so many spaces for incredible photos ~ from our white rose garden overlooking Windsor Castle, to natural greens and soft flowers throughout the Walled Garden, and a whimsical white bridge over the woodland stream. At dusk we light the gardens up with twinkly lights, transforming a magical day into a true Midsommer night's dream.
Our properties each have their own character and beautiful furnishings. The bridal suite is filled with muted white and wooden tones, giving you full country glamour for gorgeous pre-wedding photos.

We know being totally relaxed in your chosen venue is just as important as everything looking beautiful, so we do everything we can to make you feel right at home. You'll (genuinely!) make new best friends in Susie and Hamish who are honoured to be there for couples every step of the way - before, during and after the big moment. We're a blank canvas so you can create your dream event, but we can also recommend and arrange plenty of trusted suppliers to help you get started. Most importantly, we'll help you make sure your wedding or party looks and feels totally personal to you.

We cannot thank you both enough for allowing us to get married and stay at your beautiful home. We can honestly say that we had the best day of our lives (& day 2!) and none of it would have been possible without your kindness, flexibility, generosity and all of your behind-the-scenes work. We do wedding weekends so that you can celebrate with loved ones over three whole days
Events at Little Dower House come with five days exclusive land hire, including two days set up and take down (for example, of marquees or other structures), and three days of guest access.
That means for a whole weekend you'll have:

Private use of our on-site properties for a three night stay for up to 10 people, in an English country cottage, romantic bridal suite & gorgeous Shepherd's Hut. Glamping for additional guests is also possible!

Exclusive access to 12 acres of beautiful country gardens, with freedom to party away on your big day.

A whole range of outdoor games, furniture and décor included for that extra special touch.
Plus, we manage car parking attendance and security for no extra cost on the day of your party, and are on hand to help you find amazing and reliable suppliers (see our recommended list).
Inspiration for your weekend:
FRIDAY
Rehearsal dinner with your nearest and dearest
Begin with a fun morning exploring your beautiful new surroundings and getting started on dressing the marquee with your closest friends and family. Then relax into the afternoon with a home cooked meal or takeaway pizzas, as the sun slowly sets over Windsor Castle and conversation with loved ones turns to the excitement of tomorrow's wedding. Whether spending the night with your partner or in separate on-site properties, turn into bed for a peaceful night's sleep knowing everything important is taken care of ahead of the big day.
SATURDAY
The party
The big day has finally arrived! Pop champagne as you get your hair and makeup done in our bridal suite, surrounded by your excited bridesmaids. For the groomsmen or other half of the party ~ get your best kit on and some stunning crew photos down at the Victorian Lodge. Get chauffeured down the long driveway and off towards your wedding ceremony.
When you and your guests return, you could celebrate with an intimate hand binding or vows ceremony in the Walled Garden under the heart shaped leaves of our ancient Catalpa tree. Start the party with drinks and canapés in the Summer House garden or head straight over to your beautiful marquee for dinner and speeches. You'll have plenty of options for gorgeous and varied photos ~ in front of Windsor Castle, surrounded by green and flowers, or on the super romantic bridge. And if you want to get creative with suppliers ~ go for it! We've had everything from waffle vans to Formula 1 simulators and fairground rides in the marquee meadow.
Dance the night away, and once it hits midnight continue the vibe under a starry night sky with music from an acoustic guitar. Get soppy around the campfire or take a romantic last stroll through the twinkly lights with your new husband or wife. Don't worry about everyone leaving ~ Team LDH will be around until the early hours making sure everyone not already staying on site can get home safely.
SUNDAY
The after party
You went to bed last night with your heart full knowing you'd be seeing lots of your friends again today. Reminisce, relax and cure those hangovers with a super chilled out Sunday. Have a barbecue in the sun, play some pool and laugh over memories from the day before. Whatever the weather, you'll still have your marquee to hang out in, and your comfortable accommodation to retreat to.
It's been a truly magical weekend. Let it all soak in before heading off on your new adventure as loved up newlyweds.

Three nights in three gorgeous properties for up to ten people. With option for additional glamping so even more of your loved ones can stay on-site.
The Victorian Lodge can sleep six people across three double bedrooms (one can be turned into two singles, and there is space for cots) ~ perfect for families or members of the bridal / grooms party.
The Little Hideaway is our gorgeous bridal suite, full of muted colours, lots of natural light and plenty of space for photoshoots. Nestled behind Sir Elton John's Orangery, it's ideal for the happy couple or a lucky set of in-laws.
Equally romantic and tucked away is our brand new, super cool, luxury Shepherd's Hut. Larger and more beautiful in spec than any you'll find elsewhere, this property can sleep up to two nature lovers. Equipped with private outdoor decking, its own firepit and outdoor bath and separate chillout area with views of Windsor Castle, the Shepherd's Hut is also a great choice for newlyweds or special family members or friends.
