The entrance to the estate sits on Crimp Hill Road, opposite Windsor Great Park.​ We share a post code with Sir Elton John next door. Please ignore your sat nav if it tries to take you up his long, straight tree-lined driveway.
​
Instead, enter through the open black gates which sit between two curved brick walls (pictured). Upon entering the driveway, on your left you will see The Victorian Lodge.

Windsor Great Park & Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It is open to visitors throughout the year.
Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 40 monarchs.

Bears Rails Gate – Access to Windsor Great Park
Bears Rails Gate is the nearest entrance to Windsor Great Park, including the beautiful Long Walk and Deer Park.
Directions:

Exit the property gates and turn right onto the road.

Walk downhill for approximately 150 yards.

As the road bends to the right (near the red post box), you’ll see the entrance to Crimp Hill Cemetery car park. (You can park here if needed.)

From the car park, exit and turn right, then walk down the lane.

Continue through the gate ahead to enter the park.

Alternative Access – Savill Garden & Surroundings
For easy access to lakes, ornamental gardens, and scenic dog-walking areas, we recommend visiting The Savill Garden.
This beautifully maintained area offers a different side of Windsor Great Park, with landscaped gardens, peaceful water features, and well-marked walking routes suitable for all abilities.
There is convenient parking available at The Savill Garden, making it an ideal starting point to explore a variety of walking trails, lakes, and open green spaces within the park.
